Beware Yellow - Liver disease Awareness

Beware Yellow

Liver disease is rare in newborn babies. Nevertheless, around one baby is born in New Zealand every month with a serious liver disease. Often the signs and symptoms are subtle or non-specific and it can take a while for parents and health care professionals in the community to recognize that the baby has liver disease.

Promoting Awareness of the early warning signs of Liver disease can save lives.

The annual IDFNZ Beware Yellow campaign serves to educate the community about these early warning signs in babies.
