Pi Week 2026 Medical
Thu March 26th 2026
April 22nd- 29th is World Immunology Week
The Immune Deficiencies Foundation of New Zealand (IDFNZ) invites you to help shine a light on primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs). These are a group of over 450 immune disorders; taken together, these affect 1 in 1,000 New Zealanders.
PID’s are often late in being diagnosed, leading to patients experiencing chronic repeated infections, reduced quality of life and life expectancy.
Early diagnosis is the key to early treatment and ideal management of these PID patients.
IDFNZ is the National support organisation promoting awareness of PID. We are offering free resources and information. Medical professionals can support us in the following ways:
- Order a free resource pack, including printed posters, pens, and stationery for your surgery. email office@idfnz.org.nz
- Download the 7 warning signs of PID posters directly – we offer these in a range of languages.
- During April, IDFNZ will be posting a series of talks by local and international immunology specialists featuring the latest developments in clinical care of PID.
