New Zealand Toy Distributer Association
Generous donation of a New Support vehicle for IDFNZ KIDS Foundation
The 45 members of the New Zealand Toy Distributors Association comprise manufacturers, importers and distributors of toys, games, nursery, lifestyle, licensed, sports, seasonal, and hobby products. The huge range of toys and brands they collectively represent are especially well known to all of our younger members; They pride themselves in setting and upholding high safety and quality standards for all products sold in New Zealand. Thank you for keeping our children safe as they explore and enjoy playing with their toys.
Toys are an important tool to help children development and of course are a fun part of being a child; However parents of chronically ill children will also attest to the power of a good toy to distract patients from painful treatment and procedures in hospital and assisting well-being. A favourite teddy bear or doll can make all the difference for children spending weeks away from home admitted to hospital. As a Foundation we use toys as a cheer gift to lift the spirits of a sick child as we visit them in hospital.
Another passion the members of the New Zealand Toy Distributers Association all share is that they each have a huge heart to reach out to New Zealand’s medically fragile children, and they actively look for ways to help. IDFNZ KIDS Foundation was honoured to be invited by the NZTDA committee to share with them our vision and strategy for assisting PID and Liver transplant patient members; this lead to the Foundation being selected for sponsorship in the form of gifting us a new Nissan X-Trail vehicle, to enable our support services.
This is an amazing gift which we are very appreciative of. The vehicle is a 7- seater with spacious storage capacity ,and is perfect to transport families, equipment and support gear for support events and activities around Auckland.
The new vehicle arrived in February and is already making a difference – thank you to all members of NZTDA for supporting our work in this way, having a reliable and practical work vehicle is essential to deliver the face to face support services that set the Foundation apart.
Thank you for having such generosity towards helping us support our courageous and special children.
