In Touch - Summer 2025

Mon Dec. 1st 2025

Welcome Summer!

At this time of year, as we all get into the mood for summer, it has been wonderful to connect with so many members at end-of-year events across the country. The IDFNZ Christmas party season is a milestone that signals summer has indeed arrived.  It is always uplifting to see the happy faces of our children, who we know have spent long periods this year unwell or in hospital, having fun with their families.

The last year has been a busy one, with our fantastic support team organising a wide range of member gatherings, including family days, workshops, seminars, and meet-ups across New Zealand. We want to thank members for your ongoing support of the Foundation and its work serving the immunocompromised patient community. We have also welcomed many new members; we are indeed a steadily growing family.

Now is the season to unwind. We encourage you to embrace the long, warm days of summer as an opportunity to relax and recharge. Soak up some sunlight and vitamin D while enjoying the Kiwi outdoors. In this newsletter, we bring you tips for staying safe this summer, ideas for family fun over the holidays, and our usual medical information and patient stories, alongside upcoming events planned for 2026.
