In Touch - Spring 2026

Mon Aug. 17th 2026

New Zealand’s spring is an ideal time for family outings, with winter hibernation ending and cherry blossoms in full bloom

Iconic spots are found across the country. Whether it’s a short weekend away or an extended trip, a springtime holiday can lift the spirits. If a holiday is not possible, take a walk through your local parks to search out these natural beauties.

2026 has been a busy year for IDFNZ. Since the last newsletter, we have held family days to celebrate Beware Yellow in Auckland and Christchurch, and held Circus Quirkus shows in Queenstown, Napier and Gisborne. Plus coffee meetups and It was wonderful to see our families supporting these events. Our recent liver conference talks were made available on our social media sites as part of Beware Yellow Month, so all families across New Zealand could access helpful information.

Thank you to everyone who has registered early for our Christmas parties and youth workshops coming up in the next quarter. Time is moving quickly, so anyone who hasn’t sent their forms in yet, please don’t forget! We also have the annual AGM in September, taking place on Zoom, so anyone interested can register.
