IDFNZ News Update  August 17th ,2020

Hi Everyone,

For the next 2 weeks (through to 30th August) Auckland residents  find themselves back under Level 3 restrictions, with the rest of New Zealand at level 2.

It is always disappointing to have to take a step backwards, but we have been here before and all going well it is only a temporary set-back. If you live in Auckland try and take time to relax and enjoy your family during lockdown.

Just a reminder to everyone that IDFNZ is here if you need us, please do not hesitate to email info@idfnz.org.nz or call 0508300600.

Links to up to date MOH and other Covid-19 information is available on our website http://idfnz.org.nz/news/entry/coronavirus-covid-19 . We update this as new information is released.

Masks– MOH now recommendation to wear face masks in public under level 3 and above, where 2 m distancing cannot be guaranteed. Face masks are now mandatory on public transport in Auckland at level 2. This is one development we have had several people contact us about. Masks can be expensive but here are re-usable ones available that are more cost effective, and home-made masks are also acceptable. Here are a couple of links to articles (Courtesy of Victoria Health) showing how to make your own mask, with options for sewers and non-sewers.
